At this point we need to instead be asking: Is there any low to which the American press will not stoop? Is there any question so stupid that some hair-gelled punditeer won’t ask it? Is there any damage that our corporate news agencies won’t do to the Republic in the name of profit?

Via Political Wire: "A 60-foot phallus created by vandals on the grassy slopes beneath the Idaho governor's mansion has been fig-leafed over by work crews on their second try," the Idaho Statesman reports. "The grassy graffiti appeared in July after someone applied extra-strength weed killer. Officials said at the time it was too late in the growing season to attempt to remove the image." It's old news, but still pretty hilarious. I just wonder what message they were trying to send.
